Doing well … I suppose

from Paul & Katy Gardenghi @ Gardenghi in Grenada

The worst, I think, is how the Lady died. I know Kate is having a hard time with the memories of finding Lady. For me, I hurt, I can’t stand seeing objects that belong to Lady. I miss her, I knew that I would miss her the day she did go, but this was sooner then expected.

I miss her bounding up and down around me. I miss happiness and pure love of life. As ornery and disobedient she was, I still miss her greetings and how she would always get underfoot. I miss the intelligence in those big brown eyes. WHY LADY??? WHY DID YOU DO IT? :*(

Sad news…

from Paul & Katy Gardenghi @ Gardenghi in Grenada

Well it was bound to happen. A little over a year of marriage, Kate and I regrettably experienced are first of significant hardships. Our dog, Lady, strangled herself today. She was on the porch when Kate went out, Lady appears to have attempted to jump off the porch and was strangled by her collar.

Kate is in very deep distress about this, please keep her in your prayers.

I KNOW…. its been awhile

from Paul & Katy Gardenghi @ Gardenghi in Grenada

I KNOW…. its been awhile. But you see I have a whole list of excuses for my behavior. Alas, you wouldn’t care anyway! Actually school has really gotten to me. I feel overwhelmed half the time, while on the other half exhausted. God only knows, but He has me in this place for a purpose.

Isaac is one of the best things that ever happen to me. Each day, I find that I love him more then ever before. I am, only now, coming to grips with what my parents felt toward me. I think about what it would be like without Isaac in my life. … The hollowness I feel is unbelievable. I never thought myself capable of hurting so much, just from the mere thought of Isaacs absents.

This Christmas, Kate and Isaac will leave Grenada to stay with Grandpa-Roo and Grandma in Colorado. They will leave on December 1st. Leaving me here on the island until the 16th. I am not so excited at the prospect of being alone. We all realize that this was a necessity, but it is far from my liking.

Well, to sum it all up. The next 3 weeks, I will be having mid-terms. So keep me in your prayers.

A Big Blessing!!!

from Jessie @ Life Is Like A Box of Chocolate...Mmm, Mmm, Good!

Last Friday a dear sweet lady from my church took me out for the day and we went wedding dress shopping. Back before my mom passed away she appointed this lady to help me. She is really sweet, she was always like a grandma to me, so Friday was a blast! I did find my dress, too! And I found my bridesmaid dresses. Then, she decided we would go to Micheals and see if we could get some ideas for favors and such. Well, she ended up buying my invitations, my flower girl basket, my bubble wands for after the reception, and my veil! So, Friday turned out to be a very productive wedding planning day!
Also, on Friday I am leaving to go visit Drew! I am so excited! It seems like forever since we were together! I miss him soooo much!
Other than that…things are pretty crazy around here.

Some of you probably find Wierd Al to be highly offensive (he can be), but I just ran across a song that most people will find exceedingly funny. Ladies and gentlemen! I give you “White and Nerdy.” There’s even a…

Sandwiches again?

from Lifetime Dieter @ The Daily Castle

Calling all moms out there in Blogland with lunch bag experience. I may be creative, but it seems I’m not with lunches for the kiddies. After two weeks of sandwiches, usually PB and J, the girls are bored. They want something different. Any ideas out there?
