Kids at the fair

from Jeff @ Jeff & Em

We did the typical stuff: antique tractor pull, livestock, rides, and the petting zoo. I think the petting zoo was their favorite:

Tree takedown

from Jeff @ Jeff & Em

We had a tree in our front yard that had to be taken down. I have cut a lot of trees on our property, but these were just too close to our shed and the power lines. So we hired an arborist to do it.

Practically every other 8th grade girl who walks past me in the halls at school has a version of this bag. Apparently, it is the item to have. :-)

Columbus Building Art

from Buzz @ Senior Study Hall

Here are some pictures of the sides of a couple of buildings in downtown Columbus, Ohio. The Columbus Crew soccer ball has been taken down, but the Nationwide Paint advertisement is still there. It’s especially nice how you can see the LeVeque Tower in the background of the Columbus Crew picture.

Another Quote…

from Jay C @ The Preacher's Thoughts

This one is from Abraham Lincoln:

I have been driven, many times, to my knees by the overwhelming conviction that I had no where else to go.

The trick, as a Christian, is not to be ‘driven to your knees’ only by not having any where else to go, but to be driven to our knees dozens of times a day. Not that we have to physically take a position on our knees, but that our hearts and focus would be so strong that, whenever faced with a choice, we automatically look up to our Father and seek His counsel.

Now if I could only do that, instead of just writing it, I’d be in good shape. Lord, help thou my unbelief!
